Michael Buble defends Britney over miming controversy

Canadian singer Michael Buble has come to pop princess Britney Spears' defence as the controversy surrounding her Australian tour grows.

Buble, 34, who is in Australia to promote his No. 1 album Crazy Love and to appear on Australian Idol, said the Aussie reaction to 27-year-old Spears' mimed concerts had made headlines around the world.

"You'd think she killed someone," News.com.au quoted him as saying.

"As an artist, and a human being, some of what has been written about her is so nasty. OK, she lip-synchs her show, people know that, they make the decision if they want to go and see her do that.

"Mind you, I lip-synch all my concerts, I'm the Milli Vanilli of jazz," he added. (ANI)
