Rapper Akon took matters into his hands at a gig in Australia when he jumped between brawling fans and ordered them to "calm down".
Akon was performing at Melbourne's HiSense Arena as part of his co-headlining gig with T-Pain when rival gangs got into fisticuffs.
A clip shot by a fan and posted on YouTube shows Akon finding his way through the unruly crowd and trying to shout them down to peace into his mic.
Thereafter, he was raised onto fans' shoulders, where he addressed the audience
