Rolling Stones 'plan' 2010 world tour

The Rolling Stones are set to go on a world tour next year, it has emerged.

Guitarist Ronnie Wood's Russian girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova apparently let the word out, even though the group was planning to keep it secret.

"She's not supposed to talk about it, things haven't been finalised but she couldn't resist telling a few friends," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling Britain's The Sun newspaper.

Meanwhile, Wood revealed he has been in touch with bandmates Sir Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts.

He added everything was "great" between them, dismissing rumours that he was likely to be ousted from the band for his partying habits.

In their last tour in 2007 Rolling Stones had amassed 300 million pounds. (ANI)

Mariah Carey to start family next year?

Mariah Carey has hinted that she may start trying for a baby with husband Nick Cannon next year.

However, the singer mentioned that the couple is at present too busy to be able to devote time to a baby.

"We've definitely discussed it (having kids). The only thing is that at this particular moment, it's almost Christmas," Contactmusic quoted her as telling U.K. talk show This Morning.

Kirk Douglas provides dinner to homeless on Thanksgiving

Actor Kirk Douglas showed the humane side of him on Thanksgiving by serving dinner to the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles.

The 92-year-old star was accompanied by his wife Anne along with hundreds of other volunteers at the Los Angeles Mission.

A day before the official American holiday, they handed out turkey meals to the destitute.

The couple, who founded the mission's Anne Douglas Center, also released a statement.

The center helps homeless women get employment.

"My wife has been trying to help the women that have been forced onto the streets, and she is determined to give them a better life through the Anne Douglas Center where they have programs that improve and rebuild their lives," the Daily Express quoted Douglas as saying in the statement.

Lindsay Lohan's fashion line hailed a commercial success

Fashion critics may have slammed Lindsay Lohan's clothing collection as an 'embarrasment', but it has been hailed as a commercial success.

The 'Mean Girls' star created a line for French fashion house Emanuel Ungaro, but her designs were mauled by the critics when they hit the runway in September.

The company's founder Emanuel Ungaro, who is no longer involved with the firm, also slammed Lohan's designs, branding the show a "disaster".

However, bosses at the fashion house supported the actress, insisting she will return to design another collection for the brand.

Company president Mounir Moufarrige said that Lohan's designs have been flying off the shop shelves.

"Yes (she's staying on), she has a job to do. The criticism was harsh. I am sure we can do better in the collection, to be honest. But it did sell well," the Daily star quoted him as telling a foreign new agency. (ANI)

Robert Pattinson likens himself, Twilight co-stars to The Beatles

British actor Robert Pattinson has likened himself and his Twilight co-stars to the legendary rock band The Beatles.

The boy band attracted hordes of dedicated devotees, and the intense fervour around the group became known as Beatlemania.

And Pattinson insists the teenage hysteria around Twilight movie series is similar to the frenzied music fans of the 1960s.

"I don't know how the Beatles felt but I imagine it was close to this. Very few human beings will ever get to experience the love we feel at Twilight events," the Daily Star quoted him as telling JustJared.com. (ANI)
